The town has its own train station offering direct transport to Wrexham and Bidston.
Heswall bus station provides many connecting bus links to the surrounding villages, including the 471 direct service to/from Liverpool city centre.
The Merseytravel Saveway ticket can be used on public transport in Merseyside to make using local transport services more convenient. The Mersey Ferry crossing is also included in this.
